1. Key Features

The JTC-4163 Pocket AC/DC Clamp Meter is a professional, ultra-compact electrical measuring instrument (202x50x29 mm) designed for easy one-handed operation in tight spaces. It measures both AC and DC current up to 100A, AC/DC voltage up to 600V, and resistance up to 10kΩ. Featuring a 12.5mm jaw opening, a clear 4-digit liquid display, an analog output signal of 10mV/Amp, a frequency response up to 20KHz, and an active sound level indicator for resistance ≤ 100Ω.

3. How to Use

Turn on the device and select the desired measurement function via the rotary switch (ACA, DCA, ACV, DCV, or Ohms). To measure current, press the lever to open the clamp (up to 12.5mm) and enclose a single conductor inside the jaw center. For voltage or resistance measurements, insert the test leads into the terminals and touch the probes to the test points. When measuring DC current, press the ZERO button (if available) to clear offset before clamping. An audible beep sounds when measuring resistance below 100Ω.

 

4. Device Maintenance

Always switch the meter to OFF after use to conserve battery life. Clean the clamp jaws regularly with a soft, dry cloth to maintain measurement accuracy, keeping contact surfaces free from dirt or metal filings. Avoid storing the device in high humidity, extreme temperatures, or corrosive environments. Replace the battery immediately when the low battery indicator appears. Remove the batteries if the clamp meter will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage damage.
