3. How to Use

Step 1: Check the tool, JTC-5289 and components are complete.

Step 2: Identify the shock absorber spring position to be compressed on the Volvo truck.

Step 3: Install the spring compressor onto the shock absorber spring position.

Step 4: Connect the tool with JTC-5289 to compress the spring.

Step 5: Compress the spring slowly and evenly until enough clearance for removal.

Step 6: Remove or install the shock absorber while the spring is held safely.

Step 7: Clean the tool and store in the case after completing the work.

 

4. Device Maintenance

Clean tool with soft damp cloth after each use. Do not immerse tool in water or strong solvents. Apply oil to the screw thread periodically for smooth operation. Check screw thread periodically for wear or damage. Check spring holding hooks periodically for cracks or deformation. Store in dry place, avoid direct sunlight and high temperature. Do not use tool outside allowed load capacity. Store in carrying case when not in use.
