1. Key Features
The JTC-1424 Tensioning Gauge is designed to measure and adjust the tension on various cam belt widths. Its dual-scale display allows reading from either the top or bottom. The spring-type mechanism ensures accuracy and durability. Each 360° turn of the nut corresponds to 1 mm with a load of 10 Nm.
2. Practical Applications
The JTC-1424 is widely used in automotive workshops and maintenance centers for checking and adjusting cam belt tension. It helps prevent engine damage caused by improper belt tension—either too loose or too tight.
3. How to Use
Attach the JTC-1424 to the cam belt section to be measured. Turn the knurled knob to adjust and read the tension value (0–20 mm). Each 360° nut rotation equals 1 mm of tension at 10 Nm load. Dual-scale markings allow readings from either direction.
4. Maintenance
After use, wipe the tool clean with a dry cloth. Avoid contact with oil or dust on the gauge scale. Store it in a dry, secure case to preserve accuracy and prevent mechanical damage.
