3. How to Use

Step 1: Check the tool and components are complete.

Step 2: Identify the slack adjuster rod pin position to be removed.

Step 3: Place the Ø6 press tool onto the cotter pin position.

Step 4: Press the tool to shear off the cotter pin.

Step 5: Remove the 3/16" clevis pin from position.

Step 6: Check the pin and slack adjuster are not damaged.

Step 7: Clean the tool and store in the case after completing the work.

 

4. Device Maintenance

Clean tool with soft damp cloth after each use. Do not immerse tool in water or strong solvents. Apply oil to the joint periodically for smooth operation. Check Ø6 press tip periodically for wear or cracks. Check tool body periodically for deformation. Store in dry place, avoid direct sunlight and high temperature. Do not use tool outside allowed load capacity. Store in carrying case when not in use.
