1. Key Features
The JTC-4498 Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Kit is specially designed for installing the rear crankshaft oil seal on BMW N54 and N55 engines.
The tool must be used together with the JTC-4209 Rear Oil Seal Removal/Install Kit, serving as the dedicated installation adapter for the updated rear crankshaft oil seal.
Manufactured to OEM specifications, it protects the sealing lip during installation while ensuring correct installation depth and alignment, helping prevent premature oil leaks.
Made from high-strength alloy steel, the tool provides excellent durability and long service life for professional BMW engine service.

Rear crankshaft oil seal installation.
Accurate rear seal positioning.
Oil seal protection during installation.
BMW N54 and N55 engine overhaul.
Used together with JTC-4209.
3. Instructions for Use
Remove the old oil seal using JTC-4209.
Install the JTC-4498 adapter onto the JTC-4209 kit.
Position the new rear oil seal.
Install the seal according to the BMW service procedure.
Remove the tool and verify correct seal installation.
4. Maintenance
Clean after each use.
Apply anti-rust oil periodically.
Inspect the guide surfaces before use.
Use only with JTC-4209.
Store in a clean and dry environment.
