1. Key Features

The JTC-4446 Current Leaking Detect Kit provides a safe and quick method to identify electrical leakage or parasitic battery drain without losing critical ECU computer memory. Featuring a broad measurement range of 0.01A to 19.99A and a maximum load capacity of DC 32V/20A, it supports two flexible connection methods using a terminal current clamp or an OBD2 clamp connected to a backup power source. Disconnecting the negative battery terminal initiates the test while simultaneously serving as a backup power supply during battery swaps. The kit includes a terminal clamp, OBD2 clamp, current tester, 2 fuses, a blade fuse puller, and a mini fuse puller.

3. How to Use

Connect the test clamp to the car battery or plug the OBD2 clamp into a backup battery to establish a continuous power supply. Carefully disconnect the negative terminal from the car battery to route the current through the JTC-4446 tester circuit. Read the measured value on the display within the 0.01A–19.99A range to gauge leakage. Use the included blade or mini fuse pullers to selectively pull fuses from the fuse box to isolate and identify the specific circuit causing the electrical drain.

 

4. Device Maintenance

Always disconnect all clamps and power sources from the vehicle immediately after completing testing. Clean the tester, cable leads, and pullers using a soft, dry cloth to prevent grease accumulation. Inspect the internal fuses regularly and replace them with the correct rating if blown to ensure diagnostic accuracy. Store all components back in their protective carrying case and keep in a cool, dry environment away from moisture and direct sunlight.
