1. Key Features
The JTC-4299 Engine Timing Tool Set is specially designed to locate the camshaft at Top Dead Center (TDC) and assist in the installation and removal of both intake and exhaust camshafts on BMW S85 engines.
The kit provides accurate camshaft positioning during timing chain replacement, cylinder head repair and engine overhaul, ensuring engine timing is set according to BMW OEM specifications.

3. Instructions for Use
Rotate the engine to the Top Dead Center (TDC) position according to the BMW service manual.
Install the JTC-4299 timing tools at the specified camshaft locations.
Lock the camshafts before removing or installing the intake and exhaust camshafts.
Adjust engine timing according to BMW specifications.
Remove the tools and verify engine timing before starting the engine.
4. Maintenance
Clean the tools after each use.
Apply anti-rust oil before storage.
Inspect locating tools regularly for wear or deformation.
Store the kit in its carrying case in a dry environment.
