3. How to Use

Step 1: Check that wires and probes are firmly connected.

Step 2: Clamp the ground end to earth point or vehicle frame.

Step 3: Touch the probe to the point to be tested on the circuit.

Step 4: Observe the indicator light to determine positive or negative polarity.

Step 5: Test continuity at switches, relays, diodes and fuses.

Step 6: Move the probe to find short circuits and bad earths.

Step 7: Disconnect and store the tool after testing is complete.

 

4. Device Maintenance

Clean device body and wires with soft damp cloth after each use. Do not immerse device in water or strong solvents. Check the 4.5mt wire periodically for cracks or breaks. Check the 8A safety gear inside periodically. Replace probe when worn or contact is poor. Store in dry place, avoid direct sunlight and high temperature. Do not use device outside 6-24dcv voltage range. Store in carrying case when not in use.
